An Interview With Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester

Blaire Waldorf is my absolute favorite character on Gossip Girl. Serena is just too nice for me, I like a girl who lets out her inner, ahem*, you know, every once in a while :) So I was excited to see that Leighton Meester recently did an interview and spilled about her hot co-stars, what she does on her downtime, and her singing career.

On the album she’s recording:

On the clothes on set:

That’s a huge percentage of our conversation. You have to say the word “cute” about five times when you enter the set. “Oh, that bag is so cute. Oh, that headband is so cute.” Everybody comments on each other’s clothes. Even the extras really look great. Some of it is wardrobe but some of it is their own stuff. It’s New York. You have to keep up.

On Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley and Ed Westwick handling their heartthrob status:

Young woman are watching the show and they’re the eye candy. They’re taking it well. You can’t let it go to your head. And I haven’t noticed that yet, but there’s still season two.

On what the cast does between takes:

We’re talking about the scenes. But we have our inside jokes and our funny moments. We laugh and sing. We sing every single thing under the sun — but usually whatever is on the radio in the morning that we hear on the way to work. We should do a musical.

Leighton also mentioned that she’s the shyest of the whole cast. I would have never guessed! Click here to read the full interview.
