Benjamin McKenzie, Leelee Sobieski, and Al Pacino attended the World Premiere of ‘88 Minutes’ held at at Planet Hollywood Hotel Casino. How come I’ve never noticed what a looker Leelee was? And is she very tall or is Benjamin very…not? Inquiring minds.

In 88 Minutes, Al Pacino stars as Dr. Jack Gramm, a college professor who moonlights as a forensic psychiatrist for the FBI. When Gramm receives a death threat claiming he has only 88 minutes to live, he must use all his skills and training to narrow down the possible suspects — a disgruntled student, a jilted former lover, and a serial killer who is already on death row among them — before his time runs out. Alicia Witt, Leelee Sobieski, Amy Brenneman and Neal McDonough also star.

This still isn’t filmed yet? I feel like I’ve been hearing about this movie forever! The new scoop is that Richard Gere has joined Hilary Swank in the much-delayed AMELIA EARHART biopic.
Aussie director Philip Noyce quit the project at Christmas (07), due to ongoing filming delays and has been replaced by Mira Nair. Now, with Gere on board, the flying film, titled Amelia, will take off later this month (Apr08), when shooting begins in Canada and South Africa.
I’m writing this as my husband is passed out on the floor. I’ve never seen a man so excited about a movie. Apparently, as a child, he was a big fan. I myself used to have a mixture of Barbies and GI Joe men at war whenever my cousin would come over with his stash. We would take string, tie it to the top and bottom of the stairs and have them slide down and attack one another. It was actually quite fun now that I’m remembering it. Miss those days.
