Pirates of The Caribbean” star, Orlando Bloom was photographed on the set of his new movie, “New York, I Love you” also starring the wonderful and talented Christiana Ricci. I took a look at the credits of the movie and it’s a veritable who’s who of young Hollywood. Shia LeBeouf, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, and Rachel Bilson are also set to star in this film. Not to mention some old Hollywood greats like, Kevin Bacon, Ethan Hawke, and Robin Right Penn to name just a few. The plot line is simple though I’m sure the actual movie will be anything but.

An anthology film joining several love stories set in one of the most loved cities of the world, New York.

Anyone interested in seeing this movie? I’m always curious how a movie will turn out when there are several “stars” in it.

Norah Jones Had To Kiss Jude Law 90 Times For My Blueberry Nights

Monday, April 14th, 2008 at 2:44 pm

My Blueberry Nights\' screening

Beautiful Norah Jones recently opened up and talked about what it was like making her debut as an actress in My Blueberry Nights, alongside Jude Law, Natalie Portman and Rachel Weisz.

On not having planned on starting an acting career:

“It’s nothing I seriously thought of or even wanted to try. But the truth is I like to ham it up with my friends. The bad news is I’ve always been a bit of a shy performer. So I was more than a little bit nervous about doing a movie.”

On having no experience:

“The director welcomed my natural reactions. Honestly, I don’t know if I could be a great actress in a different situation, but it worked for this movie. It was such a unique film with a unique director that I just trusted him. He told me not to take acting lessons. He just wanted me to be raw and natural. So in many ways the entire movie was one big acting lesson.”

On her character, Elizabeth, whose heart is broken when her boyfriend leaves her for another woman:

“I think all girls will identify. Poor Elizabeth is very sad, but I didn’t want her to seem pathetic. Yet there is one scene where she’s on the street looking up into an apartment window where her boyfriend is having fun with his new girlfriend. At that moment, she really is the saddest girl on earth, which just breaks my heart. But we’ve all been there.”

On how crazy it was kissing Jude Law:

“It was an interesting situation and it was just plain weird. I had to kiss Jude about 90 times and I didn’t want to laugh, but it seemed so ridiculous. What in the world am I doing kissing Jude Law? He’s Jude … and I’m … me. We laughed a lot between takes. It was actually very choreographed, but there was beautiful music playing in the background. Now when I hear that music I think about kissing Jude Law.”

Aww, I love Norah and she sounds like such a sweet person. I’m definitely curious to see this movie and check out her skills as an actress. Something tells me she’ll do a great job :)

Naomi Watts and Liev Schrieber shared some space with Robert Downey, Jr. at the red carpet Sydney premiere for Iron Man held at the Greater Union cinema. I have to be honest here… at first I wasn’t entirely sold on Robert as Iron Man. But after watching the trailer, I’ve giving him a fair try. Looks good!

When wealthy industrialist Tony Stark is forced to build an armored suit after a life-threatening incident, he ultimately decides to use its technology to fight against evil.

Shia LaBeouf Lands Lead In The Dark Field

Monday, April 14th, 2008 at 8:17 am

I love me some Shia LaBeouf on the big screen. So it was really nice to read that he landed his next Thriller for Universal Pictures. The Dark Fields is about a nerdy nobody who gets his hands on a top secret pharmacutical concoction that enhances his intellectual abilities.

EFlux says The Dark Fields resembles both the Fight Club and The Game. Sounds good to me.
