The BAFTA’s, aka British Academy of Television Awards were held last night and there were a lot of celebrities in attendance…unfortunately I don’t know how most of them were. Benjamin McKenzie, Leelee Sobieski, and Al Pacino attended the World Premiere of ‘88 Minutes’ held at at Planet Hollywood Hotel Casino. How come I’ve never noticed what a looker Leelee was? And is she very tall or is Benjamin very…not? Inquiring minds.

In 88 Minutes, Al Pacino stars as Dr. Jack Gramm, a college professor who moonlights as a forensic psychiatrist for the FBI. When Gramm receives a death threat claiming he has only 88 minutes to live, he must use all his skills and training to narrow down the possible suspects — a disgruntled student, a jilted former lover, and a serial killer who is already on death row among them — before his time runs out. Alicia Witt, Leelee Sobieski, Amy Brenneman and Neal McDonough also star.

Casting Agent: Ok, we have this premiere that’s looking for some extras to walk the red carpet.

Actor: Perfect! I’m really trying to break into the industry.

Casting Agent: Great. How do you feel about being covered in blood?

Actor: What?

Casting Agent: And I’m not sure what size you are, but we need to get you into the skimpiest skirt and top you’ve ever seen.

Actor: I’m sorry, but I don’t think…

Casting Agent: And then we need you to go up to the cast as they come in and bite them. Don’t leave a mark because the photographers will be there.

Actor: This isn’t for me so you can just…

Casting Agent: It pays $100 for the night.

Actor: What time should I arrive?

I mean what is that? I get that’s what the whole terrible movie is about. But are you kidding me? Call me a prude. Go ahead. It’s ok.

Currently filming in Hollywood of the North, Vancouver

I thought with Juno being officially released on DVD Tuesday that it was only appropriate to talk about what is. It’s everyone’s favorite little stripper turned hit indie sensation screenwriter Diablo Cody newest project helmed by Karyn Kusama, famous for her writing and directing Girlfight in 2000. This project is none other than the slasher thriller deemed Superbad meets The Exorcist, Jennifer’s Body.

The story follows a cheerleader, Needy our 17-year-old narrator and protagonist (Megan Fox) in a sleepy town whose perfect life goes haywire when her friend becomes possessed and begins killing the young men in town who lust after her.

A very deserving Meryl Streep was honored by the 35th Film Society of Lincoln Center which was held at Avery Hall in NYC. Some of Hollywood’s greats came out to honor Ms. Streep among them were Uma Thurman, Glenn Close, Stellan Skarsgard, Christopher Walken and Amy Adams. What do you think of Meryl’s dress? To me she can do no wrong and this dress is perfect for her. It’s very classic.
